Saratoga Parents:

Starting Tuesday,September 3, we will start making snacks available to jr. high students.  We will be offering an assortment of chips, chocolate cookies and water at a cost of $1.00 each.  Students may only purchase 1 snack per day.  They may also purchase water with the snack.

Students must have a positive balance in their account to purchase snack items or water. Money can be placed in an envelope with the students name on it and turned in to the north office or money can be deposited in the students account through EZpay.  Please keep in mind that families have shared account balances.  Students are not allowed to turn money in at the register.  Our cafeteria is not equipped to handle cash.

We will also start offering options at lunch for no additional charge.  On Mondays, Tuesdays,Thursdays and Fridays, a student may order a sunbutter and grape jelly sandwich instead of the main entree item.  On Wednesday they may order a chicken patty on a bun instead of the main entree item.  These will be labeled as “option B”.  We will start offering these items starting Monday, September 16th.

For jr. high students and staff, they will have an additional option of ordering a premade salad on Tuesdays and Thursdays instead of having the main entree item.  Again, there is no additional charge for this.  The salad must be ordered to receive it, otherwise, they will have to take the regular menu item.

Please direct any questions to Jen Carroll at 815-416-1824.

Dear parent or guardian,

Great news! Our school has partnered with Smile Programs ... the mobile dentists to offer dental care at school.

Best of all, in most cases there is no cost to you if your child is insured with Medicaid/CHIP! Private insurance and affordable self-pay options are also available.

Easy & Convenient

Having your child seen by the dentist at school saves you valuable time. Top quality care is

provided by local, licensed dentists in the familiar surroundings of your child’s school. Dental care

includes a complete exam, x-rays, cleaning, fluoride, and sealants when necessary, and in some

cases, restorative care such as fillings.

Keep Your Child Healthy

Children who see a dentist regularly may have fewer health issues like:

• Early tooth loss due to dental decay

• Gum disease

• Heart disease

• Impaired speech development
