Welcome to the Saratoga School District webpage. Our district’s mission is to provide opportunities for students to achieve academic excellence, develop personal responsibility, become productive citizens, and embrace lifelong learning in a safe and positive environment. We believe that the active participation of parents and community is essential to achieving our mission. Schooldigger.com, a website that ranks school districts based on test scores, rankings, school and district boundaries, student/teacher ratios, ethnic makeup, and scores of other useful metrics and information, ranked Saratoga School District 58th out of 780 Illinois school districts in 2016-17.
The faculty and staff at Saratoga, in collaboration with the parents and community, are committed to a strong and comprehensive educational program and learning environment which optimizes each child's potential, enhances self-esteem, provides role models, and accentuates individual respect. The staff at Saratoga believes that every child’s individuality is an opportunity to provide differentiated instruction to allow each student to reach his or her highest potential. Our district’s core values are academic honesty, integrity, accountability, respect, collaboration, achievement, and commitment.
If you have any questions about our school, please do not hesitate to contact a building administrator or me. We are more than happy to discuss our school and provide information and assistance to families and community members.
New families to the Saratoga School District should register on Thursday, August 2, 2018, between the hours of 10-12 and 3-7. Please enter through Door #18 at the north end of the building.
You must bring your child's birth certificate and proof of residency before you will be able to register your child. The birth certificate must be from the county in which the child was born; hospital certificates are not honored. Examples of accepted documentation for proof of residency are a monthly mortgage statement or current tax bill if you own your home. A lease is an acceptable form of documentation if you rent your home. If you have any questions about proof of residency, please call the school office at 942-5970. After you provide the required documentation, you will sit at a computer and complete the online registration.
